Make Your Token Immutable on Robinhood Chain

Renounce owner control of your Robinhood Chain ERC-20 token: what stops working, what holders keep, and when to sign.

Dexmint Admin

You renounce owner control over an ERC-20 token on Robinhood Chain. After confirmation, the owner becomes the zero address, minting is disabled, and owner-only actions such as pausing, unpausing, and tax changes are unavailable.

The contract code and holder features remain in place, but no wallet can use the management functions again. Dexmint checks that the token is unpaused, prepares the transaction, and shows the fee in ETH before you sign.

What immutability means on-chain

Making a token immutable disables minting and transfers ownership to the zero address. Owner-only functions stop working, including pausing, unpausing, and tax configuration. The token must be unpaused before this action can succeed.

Holder actions still follow the features selected at deployment. Transfers and approvals remain available, while burns, permit approvals, and reflection claims work only when their matching features are enabled.

The trade-off between control and trust

Keeping an owner allows the wallet to use the management features included in the contract. Renouncing ownership removes that flexibility. Finalize the supply and tax settings, and unpause the token, before you sign.

Renouncing ownership is public and irreversible. An explorer can show that the owner is the zero address, but that fact does not audit the token or guarantee its value.

When to sign

Sign only after the supply, tax settings, and emergency controls are final. If you still need to mint, pause, or change tax settings, keep ownership until that work is complete.

A paused token cannot go through this tool directly. Resume transfers first, review every final setting, and then return. After confirmation, the explorer shows OwnershipTransferred to the zero address, and the token can never be managed again.

Frequently asked questions

Is making a token immutable reversible?

No. Once ownership is renounced, no one can ever manage the token again. There is no undo and no recovery, so only sign when you are certain.

What still works after the token is immutable?

Transfers and approvals remain available. Burns, permit approvals, and reflection claims continue only if those features were enabled at deployment. Owner-only actions such as minting, pausing, and tax changes are unavailable, and the tax rate is frozen exactly as it is.

Is this the right tool to give up control of my token?

Yes, if the supply, tax settings, and emergency controls are final and you want no wallet to manage the token again. If you only want to fix the supply but keep the other controls, use the Revoke Mint tool instead.
